About Us

We are a family run, home-grown craft business located under the South Downs in West Sussex.

 

My name is Nicki and I’m ‘born and bred’ in West Sussex. Growing up in Poynings, then marrying my dear husband Andrew over thirty years ago and having three – now grown up – children.

 

We have lived in different rural locations over the years, and we had the advantage of spending 18 months in Singapore where I indulged in the ‘colour’ and abundant delights that South East Asia offers. I spent many days at Art Workshops learning different crafts and made many wonderful friends from all over the world. I continue to learn new crafts and techniques so I can bring you new surprises and ideas.

 

My eye for design and colours in fabrics is very much born of the nature that surrounds me. My dear Mother would never have a day pass without fresh flowers in her home, and a garden filled with colour and perfume, I need to thank Mum for her undying influence.

  

Our garden is not large but is filled with love, colour and happy visitors (minus Covid 19 weeks). I am lucky to work from my garden studio with views to the South Downs, and within a few minutes walk of our lovely local High Street. The inspiration that this natural surrounding brings to my work is priceless. 

 

I have a lovely family in their 20s and 30s who have a huge amount of technical knowledge to keep me up to speed with my website shop and social media – I do get the ‘oh Mum!’ now and again – then I know I’m in trouble!!!!

 

Our products are made with love and care, because they are bespoke they will not appear within 24 hours!!  I work mostly Monday-Thursdays but will always try to answer your messages out of hours.
